Cotton Striped Tiered Dress

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Simplicity® 9136
• Fabric (1 1/2-2 extra yards based on width of fabric)
• 22" invisible zipper to match
• Hook & eye set
• Bias tape (as per pattern instructions)
• Sewing machine
• Scissors
• Pins
• Thread to match
• Ruler
• Craft paper for pattern adjustments

DIRECTIONS:

1. Make yoke and pattern adjustments based on picture below.
2. Sew yoke to front bodice.
3. Sew dress bodice and sleeves as per pattern instructions.
4. Tiered Skirt:
5. Sew top tier of skirt as per pattern instructions, leaving opening for zipper at CB.
6. Sew together each remaining tier as per measurements below into one continuous circle.
7. Divide and mark each tier in quarters. Gather top edge of each tier.
8. Match marks with side seam, CB and CF.
9. Sew second tier to 1st tier, and repeat with 3rd and 4th tiers.
10. Hem bottom tier with 1/4" double turn hem.
