Not as listed on websiteThis is not what is appears on JoAnn.com site. I received a yellow/beige fabric not the white I was expecting. Absolutely worthless because now it can not be returned...never again!

I love this fabric! As others have noted, the downside is that this fabric shrinks. Just wash and dry it first. I’ve made shower mitts that are great for gentle exfoliation. The fabric is absorbent and dries quickly. I plan to make dish towels out of it, too.

It's great if you know how to use it.I was happy to see that this fabric was thicker than I expected. It is a bit wonky and will distort. I have not washed it because I'm using it as a small piece on a "Dry Clean Only" garment so I can't say how much it will shrink, but it is cotton and a basket weave, so that's not unreasonable. For those who are criticizing the fact that their dryer lint cather is full after drying this, most natural fibers will do that, so that isn't a defect of this particular purchase. The edges do fray on this so I would suggest using half inch seam allowance at least and serge if you can.

Awesome if Used as Intended - Extremely AbsorbentThis fabric is waffle fabric designed to be used as kitchen toweling. Yes, it shrinks about 6” per yard. But, once washed a couple of times it is amazingly absorbent. I’ve used it for the center layer of cloth diapers, for eco-friendly face wipes, and for kitchen dish clothes and towels. I prewashed twice and made un-paper towels by sewing a layer of cute flannel on one side and this on the other. They are more absorbent than any towel I have ever purchased. Even my husband loves them and asked me to make more.

Buyer bewareIf you take a chance on this fabric be sure to machine wash it and dry it in the dryer several times. Your dryer lint filter will be full every time. There is considerable shrinkage, and the fabric becomes a little misshapen. You may have to do a complete dusting and vacuuming of your work area as well. Have tissues on hand as you might have a sneezing attach while working with this material. I would have thrown it away, but I was making something for a customer, and the fabric was her choice.

great but heavy shrinkageThis does shrink about 50% after pre-washing. However, I do love the dense waffle texture it turns into (about 3 times thicker). It is very absorbent to use for towels. I think it becomes more soft after pre-washing. Color is a natural cream color.

Not WhiteThis is cream colored not white.I thought this would be a softer fabric since it was all cotton. I washed it twice before using and both times the dryer filter was completely covered with cotton fluff. It is a very rough surface fabric...not pleased.

What happened?I purchased this fabric to make a light weight blanket. I purchase enough yardage to over 5 feet of a person. I then sewed the seam in the center, doubled over the edges and washed it. I expected it to be like a robe I had . Oh no lint was all over the place, the dryer cup was completely full of lint and the poor little blanket/sheet shrunk badly. Now I am not a seamstress and I should have looked up the content of the material (cotton) but the piece is acting as if it wants to be stretched out. Bouncy in character. Perhaps the water was too hot, perhaps the dryer...but to me it was a bit of a surprise.
