An increase that also creates a small decorative hole (eyelet) in the fabric, worked as follows:
Bring yarn to front, between the needles.
Take yarn to back, over the right needle. This creates the new st. You are now ready to proceed with the next st as instructed.

NOTES:
Afghan is worked in one piece, back and forth in rows.
Afghan is worked in sections of St st (k on RS, p on WS) with patterns of eyelets worked along some rows, separated by narrow sections of Garter st (k every st on every row).
3 sts at beg and end of every row are worked in Garter st for side borders.
A circular needle is used to accommodate the number of stitches. Work back and forth on circular needle as if working with straight needles.
