A Kit That Includes Sewing Essentials
Great kit for introducing kids and adults to sewing. I learned to sew as a child and now I'm passing this on to my nieces. This kit contains the essentials required to complete simple sewing products. In one afternoon, they constructed scrunchies. My nieces are 11 and 14 and are able to tackle these sewing projects independently. I thought this kit was very thoughtfully put together with items needed for anyone pursuing sewing projects: pins, elastic, needles, thread, and was impressed to find a measuring tape and patterns, very essential items! My nieces thought the fabric included in the kit was pretty and stylish.

Great sewing kit for beginners
My daughter has been doing the beginner's sewing kits that include pre-cut felt that has pre-punched holes. She wanted to learn to how trace out and cut her own patterns. This kit is perfect for the beginner wanting to learn all aspects of how to sew including tracing and cutting out a template, cutting fabric, learning different sew stitches, how to sew a buttons, etc. There are enough materials in this kit to make 7 of the projects. After that you have to get your own materials to complete the other sewing projects. Instructions are step by step and easy to understand with illustrations.

So Many Projects, Lots of Fun
Overall this was a great little kit, and I was impressed with how well my 7 year old did with it! He really had fun creating a “flower with stuffing” (pin cushion), and it did not take too long to complete once the sewing started.
Pros: there are several small projects that help to teach different ways to sew. Each project is rated by level of difficulty, so we knew which projects to start with. It comes with many of the items that you need right in the box, and has a very detailed instruction manual. The instruction manual includes BOTH picture and word descriptions, which is super helpful. The projects do seem to be geared more towards “girly” items, but my son enjoyed it nonetheless. The quality of everything included was excellent.
Room for improvement: There were only a few areas that would have made this great kit really awesome. I wish the kit included fabric scissors. We opened the kit and realized that there was a lot of fabric cutting we needed to do with no scissors included, so we had to pause the activity until we could run to the store and get fabric scissors. The patterns: having these pre-cut as “punch outs” would have been much less time consuming. I ended up needing to cut these for my son. Also, including a marker for tracing patterns would be nice. Is there a “boyish” version of this kit? That would be fun to help encourage young boys to continue learning to sew, and make it so the majority of the activities were ones my son could utilize after creating.

Literally make new Doll Friends!
Leah adores her new found sewing skill. It took some coaching so that her little 8 year old self was comfortable with the needle - but it was large and easily handled with no problems at all! We were immediately pleasantly surprised by the fact you were not constrained by designs that came with it - Leah giggled as she free-handed doll shaped friends that seemed to come to life with stuffing!

Great Idea!
I tried this kid with 3 children ages 9, 10 and 11. The kit is a great idea to teach introductory concepts but is complicated for kids to do ANY part independently. The needle was hard to push thru the enclosed fabric so I had to pull out my sewing supplies to finish the project for the kids.

My daughter and I had so much fun working on her first sewing craft. After a little guidance from me, she was excited to be able to do this independently. The sewing needle and thread were perfect for her and the directions were clear and easy to follow. She's already planning on creating her own character to sew.

Super cute!
Great sewing kit to teach your child how to sew. It didn't take long for her to get the hang of it. She enjoyed it so much that we had to buy more felt just so she can make more of the items in the booklet that it came with. Very cute designs as well. The case was the first item she made and loves it!

So much fun in one package! My daughter (11 yrs.) was fully engrossed in these projects. She loved making the cat pillow. She also made some scrunchies for her friends. Great kit that was easy to learn. Kept her entertained and let her express her creativity!

Great kit & lots of fun!
My daughter has been wanting to learn to sew, and this is a perfect kit. The book is great, as it is full color, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow even for beginners. It is full of fun projects that are sure to be a hit. I love that it included enough supplies to get started and complete a few crafts of your choices. Seriously, felt, needles, thread, stuffing, patterns that can be reusued, all in the box. You can also easily purchase additional felt and thread anywhere if your child wants to make more, so it is really a nice option.
My daughter is 9 and did need some assistance with tracing the pattern as it was her first time doing it, but did all the sewing and stuffing of the pin cushion herself. She truly enjoyed sewing, and seeing the final results, and is already working on her second project. She wants to make everything in the book!
I highly recommend this kit. It is a great family project or even a unique gift item.

Learn a lifelong skill
This product was fun! Takes a long time but it was her first time ever. 8 years old. Made a kitty kat pillow. Picked up on it quickly but still needed guidance. Wish there was a thimble. When done she was super proud and can't wait to show it off. Not 5 stars bc the cat on the box wasn't an included pattern.

Fully stocked kit and ready to go.
This is such a cute set and it has everything needed to get started and complete actual projects; no missing pieces and no need to search for something comparable. It's age appropriate for even younger kids. It good to strengthen eye and hand coordination as well as fine motor skills. Sadly, not too many schools have classes like this anymore (I remember learning how to sew and such as early as 3rd grade as a special area). It's not something I really think about regarding an important life skill. Not on purpose. It's just we're so busy that as parents we tend to forget to teach and expose kids to things they should be familiar with or know how to do (skill will come later). My daughter really enjoyed this kit (as well as her little brother). Once they laid everything out, she had a plan about which project to tackle next. The fabric is easy too manipulate. It has the perfect amount of thickness without causing any difficulty, as well as not being thin and flimsy. It's a great activity to do during the cold months or rainy days when stuck inside without much to do. For doing a new activity, she didn't become flustered. It was something that can be done independently (but we had fun together).

I was really excited for my daughter to try this. She is ten and has been wanting to learn to sew. This kit is perfect for those just learning. The project ideas are super cute as well. My only suggestion would be to make the templates perforated instead of having to cut them out. My daughter was a bit having to cut all of them out before we started.

Cute project kit, nothing pre-cut
I received this product in exchange for an honest review.
This is a cute beginners sewing kit. It comes with several real needles and pins, plenty of thread and a variety of different fabrics and patterns.
Nothing is pre-cut and you need to draw the patterns on. This might be frustrating for kiddo “perfectionists” (like mine ðŸ˜) who struggled with cutting the felt especially. This package does not come with scissors.
The instructions were clear. There were instructions for several different projects, some that required your own fabric/old shirts/etc, but plenty with the fabric included.

Let’s learn to sew
This was given to us for my kids to try and leave an honest review. My kids are 12 and 15. My son has ADHD, selective mutism, sensory issues, anxiety, MERLD and problems with fine motor skills . He has never sewn before and decided to sew his own way after looking at the pictures in the book and on the box. For his first time he did really good. He said he actually enjoyed sewing. My daughter has done some sewing in Girl Scouts. She followed the instructions for the blanket stitch. The only problem she had was understanding how to finish the stitch from the instructions in the book. She just tied a knot at the end. Both kids enjoyed it and would recommend it. They both did their own designs. I helped my son draw the outline for his “snow cone” he did the cutting and said it was a little difficult cutting through the felt. My daughter said the same. I really enjoyed all the pictures and steps included in book.

Lots of Projects
This is a nice basic craft kit to introduce kids to sewing projects. There are four different levels of projects. The instruction book has projects for the included materials as well us some that require you to provide your own items. My daughter started with the easiest project. She is 7 and wasn't quite able to do it independently. She is interested in making more but since she is new at this it is going to take time as she learns the skills. The book includes directions for the stitches that are needed and other sewing terminology. I think she will get a lot of use out of this set.

Great for encouraging creativity
My daughter was so exited to get this. She has done several sewing kits before, but this one had different materials and sewing patters and ideas for what she could make. She made several of the products and then expanded and make her own creations. I loved seeing the growth and creativity that this craft encouraged.
She did have a bit of trouble following the directions by herself at age 11. Between the 2 of us we were able to figure it out.

Great gift idea!
My daughter is 8 years old and has been wanting to learn to sew for quite some time so she was very excited to receive this kit! The box itself is very colorful and attractive. Many times when the outside looks so great the inside can be a disappointment, but not with this kit. The materials were all nicely packaged and are a great quality…They do not feel cheaply made at all. There is also enough materials included to complete several projects which is nice that this is not a “one and done” kit. The 34 page directional pamphlet is very thorough and easy to follow. The step by step pictures are very helpful as a reference. We liked that the pamphlet gives you specific projects, but then offers ways to make it your own. You will need to have your own scissors and fabric markers handy as those are not included. My daughter chose to create the stuffie project. She read the instructions and drew her stuffie character based on one of her favorite books, Itty Bitty Kitty, all on her own. At 8, she did need a little help from me with cutting the fabric and getting started sewing, but after showing her a few whip stitches she was on her way! I would say that this kit is probably geared towards kids who are a little older if it is something you are looking for them to be able to complete on their own. However, with a little assistance from me this kit and the projects inside were great for her age and skill level. I liked that it allowed us to make some memories together while teaching her an important life skill in the process. The packaging and presentation of this kit is so nicely done that it would make it a great gift for any child wanting to learn to sew!

Projects are good for learning, but a little small
I received this for free in exchange for an honest review. We have only done one sewing project so far, and it made for a nice project with my son to do with his grandmother. The instructions were easy enough for them to understand, and he successfully made the flower pillow from the kit. The project covered aligning cutouts, making sure to efficiently use material, pinning, and, of course, sewing. There were enough of a variety of projects that he was able to find one that he wanted to do. The only fault I would find is that the chosen project was a pin cushion, where it is probably a little small even for this function.

Lot of fun project ideas
My 8 yr old has been asking to learn to sew and we were excited when we saw this kit. It has a lot of different choices of projects to choose from, which we loved the options. It had most supplies we needed and pretty clear directions. We made the pin cushion and a hair scrunchy so far and she is sooo proud of herself for these accomplishments. The needles are a little large and a bit hard to push thru, so she needed some help and a thimble would have been a nice addition, but she was able to do quite a bit of the work herself. It doesn't have all the supplies for all the projects and I wish that was a little clearer, but they are pretty basic supplies so will be easy to get those extras. Overall very happy with this kit as one of the best results of working with it is how proud of herself she is and how eager she is to make more items. Sewing a plush cat next!

Awesome kit
We received this kit to try for my 13 year old daughter and it was an interesting project in many different ways. First off my daughter has autism, severe ADHD and other mental disabilities that caused her to get very frustrated easily. She wants everything rushed to her liking and this wasn't really a good fit for her. She tried her hardest with mom and dad's help. I was really surprised to see my husband sewing and really getting into it.
This kit comes with a lot of things to make and instructions for each project. She made a Star shaped stuffie for her collection. I wish it had a thimble for finger protection from getting stuck with the needle. This is definitely a great craft for older kids girls and boys alike. The material was hard to cut for her with regular school scissors, so we had to help with adult ones. She loves crafts and said she wants to try more if your kits.
