SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1 soap cutter
  • Bottles of scents: grapefruit used here
  • Soap Inclusions: eucalyptus leaves, rose petals used here
  • Soap colors of your choice: lilac, peach, seafoam used here
  • "Hello Lovely" soap molds
  • 1 block of glycerin soap
  • Microwaveable containers
  • Scissors/soap cutters

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Follow the directions on the back of the block of soap to melt it.
  2. As you are pouring the melted soap into the molds, you can put the rose petals or eucalyptus leaves in the bottom of the mold and/or also throughout the mold.
  3. Lean the molds to one side to pour one color, let it dry and then lean the mold to the other side and then pour in the next color. Let it dry.
  4. Fill the mold to the top with another color to give it three different layers and colors.
  5. When the molds are cooled, gently push the soaps out of the molds while pushing around each edge evenly.
  6. To get a pretty finished look, cut the top edges with the soap cutter.

JOANN Hacks:

  • Use a toothpick or a knife to stir the leaves evenly in the molds.
  • Let layers dry between layers to keep them separated.
  • You might have to snip the mold off to get the bar of soap out of the mold. Go slowly.
