My daughter loved it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loved it, she had so much fun designing dresses and mocking them up on the dress form. I have used this as an opportunity to get her interested in learning to sew, which is a skill everyone should have.
She puts a lot of effort into her designs and I can see the pride in her eyes when she is finished with a new one.

Fun for my pre-teen
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Fashion Studio set would make a wonderful gift for any youngster in your life that is looking to design their own clothing! My daughter was very excited to receive this set in the mail and couldn't wait to get started with it. The second it arrived we busted it open and checked out all of the contents. I love the tiny mannequin that comes with it and the sketching notebook for drawing out your designs before bringing them to life. What a cute idea! My daughter immediately went to work designing a shirt and skirt set and a dress that she felt extremely proud about right off the bat. The only suggestion I can think of would be to include fabrics that won't rip as easily while being sewn by a younger person that might not be quite as experienced as someone else with sewing. I noticed that the fabric easily split while my daughter was trying to sew it which became discouraging at times. Luckily, I happen to have a stash of fabric of my own that I was able to share, so she spent hours and hours with this set making her fashion dreams become a reality!

Fun for mom's too!

My daughter is six years old, and loves to play with dolls so we were excited to try this out! I think it would be fun even as a teenager to really play with the small mannequin and be creative.

I would definitely supervise the younger ones until they get the hang of it but this set has everything for designing and making small doll size dresses. From the fabric to the pins and bodice...and there’s even an opportunity to upload designs online! This is great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave the Designed By You Fashion Studio to my 10 and 8 year old daughters. They both loved designing and creating new and fun outfits for their dolls. The kit includes fabric, pins, a mannequin, bows, ribbons, thread, and a lot more. Initially we tried using the mannequin to size the outfits made, but they did seemed too small and we had difficulty fitting them on their dolls. We then started using one of their dolls as a mannequin to solve the sizing problem. Great kit and a lot of fun for all!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the cutest set ever. My daughter and I had so much fun creating and styling different outfits. Upon opening it, I was so Impressed with all of the features. The fabric swatches were probably my favorite, with the pin cushion coming in second. My daughter had so much fun drawing her designs in the sketchbook. It was nice that it wasn’t just a blank book, and it had some mannequins on each page to sketch over. We had a little bit of trouble when it came to putting the actual outfit together the first time, but we definitely did better the second time around. All of the small details just made this an incredibly fun experience. We will definitely be purchasing some extra fabric to keep creating new designs!

The kit has instructions for kids to start designing and a small mannequin to try those outfits. There are variety of materials that can be used to design the dresses. I am pretty sure any girl will have hours of play with this.

Entertaining Kit!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kit was entertaining for my 8 year old. She loved turning her sketches into real doll clothes. She definitely needed my help the whole time because the instructions don’t give much detail on what to do. The kit has everything you need. It has lots of small pieces of fabric, needles, rhinestones, ribbon, bows, thread and more. We used one of her dolls as a mannequin instead of using the included one. We did this because if we made clothes the size of the mannequin it wouldn’t fit any of her dolls. We did this for an 18 inch doll as well.

Tiny...picture online made this seem bigger...to scale.
Tiny set meant for making doll clothes? Did not get this from the online ad. Disappointed. From description and photo it looked like this was a child-sized mannequin for making clothes for kids, by kids. Not so. Mannequin is about 8-10 inches tall.

Cute but..
I have two girls ages 9 & 10 who love to sew and create things. I thought this would be a hit, the first maniquin broke and hearth song quickly replaced it, they played with it a few times but got tired of it pretty quickly. I'm not sure it was worth as much as I paid for it, def a cute gift item though. #sweepstakes

I ordered this and had it sent directly to my daughter and granddaughter across the country. My granddaughter will be taking sewing classes at JoAnn's and I know that one of her desires is to make doll clothes. She also likes to draw, so... I think I would buy this again
I don't know if this is one of those Christmas gifts that has so many parts that my granddaughter isn't quite sure how to work on it without adult supervision & scattering the various parts throughout the house, but I'm hoping she can have some interactive & imaginary creative design time that will help her mind grow into what she's capable of creating #sweepstakes#
