DIRECTIONS:
NOTE: This project cuts crepe paper for an assorted set of greenery.
PREPARATION
- To alter the project, select Customize, then use the Edit panel to make changes. TIP: When cutting crepe paper, place the grain running the length of the mat.
- Follow Design Space prompts to score and cut images, changing blades as necessary.
- Carefully remove cut materials from the mat to prevent tearing or stretching.
- Use ink to make the edges of the cut leaves more realistic.
- Apply the iron-on to the leaves using a Cricut EasyPress and EasyPress Mat with our Heat Transfer Guide, linked below, for the perfect time and temp settings.
- Spread the crepe paper to help shape each leaf. Do not spread the spotted leaves, but fold them along the score lines.
- Use scissors to cut a thin strip or small square of matching crepe paper; use this small piece to sandwich over the floral wire on the back of the leaf, using hot glue.
- Bend the floral wire to make a realistic-looking stem.
- Place a chunk of floral foam into the bottom of each pot, then insert the stems of the leaves into the floral foam.
- Fill the pots with river stones to cover the floral foam.
