Cricut Sports Themed Father's Day Cards

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • Cricut Maker
  • Laptop or computer
  • Cricut fabric mat and standard grip mat
  • Cricut spatula
  • Cricut scoring pen
  • Assorted colored cardstock
  • Glue tape
  • All purpose glue
  • Foam mounts or glue dots
  • Assorted colored felt
  • White buttons
  • White netting

DIRECTIONS:
LOVE YOU, DAD CARD
  1. Insert square and adjust size to 8.5"x 5.5"
  2. Insert score line and center horizontally and vertically on square, attach square and score line together
  3. Insert text and type L V E Y O U, D A D !
  4. Change text to Ariel Black
  5. Insert a basketball from images and a circle shape
  6. Adjust L V E, basketball image, and circle shape size to fit on a 4.25"x 5.5" area centered, then adjust YOU, DAD! Underneath LOVE centered
  7. Make sure the circle shape and the basketball image are the exact size, the circle will be the backing for the basketball cuts to be glued onto
  8. Change colors of square card to blue, text to white, basketball to orange, circle to black
  9. Cut with the cricut and follow on screen instructions
  10. Peel away cardstock using cricut spatula
  11. Attach basketball and letters to the folded card with glue tape

DAD YOU'RE A HOLE IN ONE!
  1. Insert square and adjust size to 8.5"x 5.5"
  2. Insert score line and center horizontally and vertically on square, attach square and score line together
  3. Insert text and type DAD You're a hole in one!
  4. Change text to Ariel Black
  5. Insert the golf flag pole and green from images
  6. Insert clouds from images
  7. Insert waving flag from images
  8. Adjust all images in a 4.25"x 5.5" area
  9. Unlock letter D A D and adjust each letter individually so it flows with the waving flag
  10. Change colors according to your paper colors
  11. Cut with the cricut and follow on screen instructions
  12. Cut the clouds out twice, the second time change the material to felt, use your white felt, once cut layer onto white yardstick clouds
  13. Use Glue dots and mounts to add 3D look to clouds
  14. Glue tape letters flag and green grass to blue folded card

DAD, YOU'RE AN ACE CARD
  1. Insert square and adjust size to 8.5"x 5.5"
  2. Insert score line and center horizontally and vertically on square, attach square and score line together
  3. Insert text and type DAD, YOU'RE AN ACE
  4. Change font to Ariel Black
  5. Insert two squares, unlock image and adjust squares to thin lines approximately 1/8" thick
  6. Place the two lines together over a 4.25"x 5.5" area and weld them together
  7. Place welded white lines over green card space and adjust text size to fit
  8. Insert tennis ball image, and adjust size
  9. Change colors of texts and images, the lines to white, card to green, tennis ball white and yellow
  10. Cut with the Cricut and follow on screen instructions
  11. Peel away cardstock and set aside
  12. Change material of tennis ball cut to felt and cut with the Cricut
  13. Fold green card, lay white cardstock lines over card and cut out white mesh to fit at the top of the card
  14. Attach mesh under white lines with glue tape
  15. Attach letters with glue tape
  16. Attach yellow felt to white cardstock circle to form a tennis ball, use a foam mount to give it a 3D look when attaching to card

DAD 1 CARD
  1. Insert square and adjust size to 8.5"x 5.5"
  2. Insert score line and center horizontally and vertically on square, attach square and score line together
  3. Insert text and type DAD 1
  4. Change font to Varsity
  5. Insert jersey image and adjust size of jersey to 4.25"x 5.5"
  6. Insert 10 lines and adjust lines to fit over top of jersey
  7. Change text size to fit on top of jersey
  8. Change colors of text to blue and white, jersey to blue, card square to white, and lines to blue
  9. Cut with the cricut and follow on screen instructions
  10. Attach blue jersey to white folded card front using glue tape
  11. Attach blue lines to jersey
  12. Attach DAD 1 cardstock to jersey
  13. Last, add buttons to the jersey using glue

JOANN HACKS:
  • Use Material "Cardstock (for intricate cuts)" for all cards
  • Use Material "Felt Wool Bonded" when cutting thicker felt
  • Use a yellow highlighter on white felt to get a brighter neon felt color for tennis ball
  • Attach anything that's 3D looking last
  • You can use the slice option when cutting out different jersey sizes to exact size needed
