  1. Open Design Space and start a new canvas.
    2. _x000D_
  2. Measure your thermos.
    3. _x000D_
  3. Insert butterfly image.
    4. _x000D_
  4. Size according to your thermos size, approximately 3"x 2".
    5. _x000D_
  5. Change butterfly layers to colors of vinyl, yellow body, dark purple wings, light purple base.
    6. _x000D_
  6. Cut with the Cricut and follow on-screen instructions.
    7. _x000D_
  7. Apply transfer tape sticky side down on weeded vinyl.
    8. _x000D_
  8. Apply to thermos, butterfly base first, butterfly wings second and body last.

  7. Before you weed your cut vinyl, scrape across vinyl gently a few times.

  8. Weed vinyl, apply Cricut transfer tape sticky side down on vinyl image.

  9. Peel white backing off and apply to water bottle.

  10. Press firmly over small image areas to assure it sticks to the water bottle.

  • Lay vinyl with transfer tape faced down and peel white backing off, use a weeder tool to hold down small cut pieces while peeling up.
    • _x000D_
  • With larger decals, hold your vinyl and transfer tape over water bottle laying down the center of vinyl onto water bottle first, work your way outwards from center to stick the rest of the image.

  • Using a Cricut scraper tool before you weed vinyl, rub it across your cut image. This helps the cut vinyl stay down when peeling away excess vinyl.

  • After applying Cricut transfer tape, place face down and peel up white paper backing from vinyl and transfer tape.

  • Place white vinyl on water bottle first, then red.

  2. Insert lightning bolt design (#M40FBA7 in Design Space) and duplicate so you have two, change one color to yellow and one to white.

  3. Slightly overlap the two lightning bolts.

  4. Highlight over both lightning bolts and slice.

  5. Delete unwanted parts of sliced lightning bolt, and keep the white portion that you can see as the edge around yellow lightning bolt.
