- Laptop or Computer
- Cricut Maker
- Cricut strong grip mat
- Masking tape or painter's tape
- Cricut basswood
- Wood stain
- Brush
- Disposable gloves
- Assorted ear wire hooks
DIRECTIONS:
- Open design space and insert earring shape from the shapes icon ex. diamond, circle, oval.
- Size anywhere between 2-3 inches depending on shape.
- For designing your own earring shape, insert your own shape, insert a circle and size circle small enough to place over the top of the earring shape you want.
- Highlight and slice.
- When you're ready to cut, place basswood on strong grip mat.
- Take all sides down using painter's tape or masking tape.
- Follow on screen instructions to cut.
- The earring can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour cutting out depending how many earrings you are cutting out at once.
- Once cut, carefully pop out wood earring.
- Put on your gloves and stain with wood stain, let dry 12-24 hours.
- Insert ear wire hooks, and enjoy.
JOANN HACKS:
- Space multiple earring designs a little farther apart when cutting, this will help the basswood to stay sturdy, and not crumble.
- Use a small circle shape and the slice option and make any shape you want into earrings.
