Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sized for Elephant The mesh pattern is cool. However, I made this using the instructions for a small. I used the recommended J hook and the recommended yarn. I am 4'11' and 120lb (ok 125). It literally came to my shins and the neck was wider than my entire body. I didn't even bother with the sleeves as I had at that point realized this was sized to fit an actual elephant. I imagine this pattern was created by Andre the Giant's mother and she made it big enough for him to grow into. I have been crocheting a long time. I make a lot of sweaters. I've never had one turn out like this. If you are looking for a good laugh or a gift for the world's largest mother in law who also has a neck the circumference of a 50 year old oak, this is the project for you.
