- Sizes U.S. K/10 1/2 [6 1/2mm] and U.S. L/11 [8mm] Crochet Hooks or Size Needed to Obtain Gauge
- Yarn needle
- Locking Stitch Marker
- SIZE: One size to fit Adult.
- GAUGE: 10 splsc and 11 rows = 4" with larger hook.

To begin working with the O'Go format, carefully cut plastic tie where the ends of the O'Go meet.
Pull tie to remove.
Colors can be easily separated by gently pulling apart and cutting at the color transition. Each color is ready to use.
Designate each color A, B, C, D, E, F as indicated in Shade Palette.
All rnds are joined with a sl st to first sc/splsc.
Ribbing: With E and smaller hook, ch 10.
1st row: 1 sl st in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sl st in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 9 sts.
2nd row: Ch 1. Working in back loops only, 1 sl st in each st to end of row. Turn.
Rep last row until work from beg measures 22" [56 cm] when slightly stretched. Do not fasten off.
Join last row and first row tog with 1 row of sl st to form tube. Do not fasten off.
Beg working in rnds:
Set-up rnd: (RS). Ch 1. Working along side edge of ribbing, work 52 sc evenly around. Join with sl st to first sc. Place marker at end of rnd. Break E. Join D.
Work chart as follows:
1st to 13th rnds: Ch 1. Working in splsc, work Chart to end of chart, reading rnds from right to left and noting 4-st rep will be worked 13 times. Join.
Shape top: 1st rnd: With A, ch 1. *1 splsc in each of next 24 sts. Splsc2tog. Rep from * around. Join. 50 sts.
2nd rnd: Ch 1. *1 splsc in each of next 3 sts. Splsc2tog. Rep from * around. Join. 40 sts.
3rd rnd: Ch 1. *1 splsc in each of next 2 sts. Splsc2tog. Rep from * around. Join. 30 sts.
4th rnd: Ch 1. *1 splsc in next st. Splsc2tog. Rep from * around. Join. 20 sts.
5th rnd: Ch 1. *Splsc2tog. Rep from * around. Join. 10 sts.
Fasten off, leaving a long end. Draw end tightly through rem sts and secure tightly.
POMPOM:
With 1 strand each of A, B, C, D, and E held tog, wind yarn around 4 fingers approx 15 times. Remove from fingers and tie tightly in center. Cut through each side of loops. Trim to a smooth round shape. Sew pompom to top of Hat.
