- Size U.S. I/9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
- Yarn needle
- MEASUREMENTS: Approx 49 1/2" x 55" [125.5 x 140 cm].
- GAUGES: 11 single crochet (sc) and 12 rows = 4" [10 cm].
- 15 stitches (sts) and 14 rows = 4" [10 cm] in Moss St Pattern (Pat) (including sc and chain sts).

Worked over foundation chain (ch) multiple of 2 ch + 2.
To maintain consistent color changes, join new ball of yarn to match last color change of previous ball. This will help to ensure stripe repeat will match as closely as possible.
To join new color, work to last loop on hook of previous color. Yarn over hook (yoh) with new color, draw through remaining (rem) loops and proceed with new color.
Carry color when not in use loosely up side of work unless otherwise indicated.
STRIPE PAT
With B, work 2 rows.
With A, work 2 rows.
These 4 rows form Stripe Pat.
BLANKET
With B, ch 172. See diagram.
Set-up row: [Right Side (RS)]. 1 sc in 4th ch from hook (counts as 1 sc. ch 1. 1 sc). *Ch 1. Skip next ch. 1 sc in next ch. Repeat (rep) from * to end of ch. Turn. 171 sts (86 sc).
PROCEED IN MOSS ST PAT AS FOLLOWS:
1st row: Ch 2 (counts as 1 sc. Ch 1). Skip first sc. 1 sc in next ch-1 space (sp). *Ch 1. Skip next sc. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * to end of row. Turn.
This row forms Moss St Pat.
First 2 rows of Stripe Pat are complete.
Keeping continuity (cont) of Stripe Pat, rep last row until work from beginning (beg) measures approximately (approx) 51" [129.5 cm], ending with 2 rows of B. Break B. Do not break A.
EDGING:
1st round (rnd): With A and RS facing, ch 1. (1 sc. Ch 2. 1 sc) in same corner. Work 138 sc evenly down left edge of Blanket. (1 sc. Ch 2. 1 sc) in next corner. Work 123 sc evenly across bottom edge of Blanket. (1 sc. Ch 2. 1 sc) in next corner. Work 138 sc evenly up right edge of Blanket. (1 sc. Ch 2. 1 sc) in next corner. Work 123 sc evenly across top edge of Blanket. Join with slip stitch (sl st) to first sc.
2nd to 6th rnds: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc around, working (1 sc. Ch 2. 1 sc) in each corner ch-2 sp. Join with sl st to first sc.
Fasten off.
