NOTE: Ch 2 at beg of row does not count as st.
Cardigan is worked in one piece to armholes, then divided for Back and Fronts.
Bobbles are created on WS of work and pushed to RS of work.
POCKET LINING (make 2)
With larger hook, ch 25.
1st row: (RS). 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 hdc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 23 hdc.
2nd row: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each hdc to end of row. Turn.
Rep last row until work from beg measures 41/2", ending on a WS row. Fasten off.
BODY:
Ribbing: With smaller hook, ch 14.
1st row: (RS). 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 hdc in each ch to end of chain. 12 hdc.
2nd row: Ch 2. *Work 1 hdc into horizontal bar created below st in previous row on WS of work (bar is below loops normally worked on WS - SEE DIAGRAM 1). Rep from * to end of row. Turn.
Rep last row until work, when slightly stretched, measures 40 (44-49-53-58-65)", ending on a RS row. Do not fasten off.
Change to larger hook and proceed as follows:
1st row: (RS). Turn work sidewise, ch 2. Work 139 (155-167-183-203-227) hdc evenly across side of Ribbing. Turn. 139 (155-171-187-203-227) hdc. Turn.

Push all bobbles to RS of work. Pin all pieces to measurements. Cover with a damp cloth leaving cloth to dry. Sew shoulder seams.
Collar: Sew shoulder seams.
1st row: (RS). With smaller hook, join yarn with sl st at lower edge of Right Front. Ch 2. Work 1 row of hdc evenly up Right Front, across back neck edge, and down Left Front. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 2. *Work 1 hdc into horizontal bar created below st in previous row on WS of work (bar is below loops normally worked on WS - see diagram). Rep from * to end of row. Turn.
Rep 2nd row until Collar measures 4 (4-41/2-41/2-5-5)" [10 (10-11.5-11.5-12.5-12.5) cm]. Fasten off.
Sew in Sleeves placing rows above markers along unworked sts of Front and Back and shaped edge along sides of armhole. Sew sleeve and side seams.
Sew Pocket Lining in position on WS of Fronts.
