18" FLANGED EDGED PILLOW with ENVELOPE BACK

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1 3/8yd Fabric
  • 18" Pillow Form
  • Matching Thread
  • Basic Sewing Supplies

DIRECTIONS:

NOTE: Use 1/2" seam allowance
  1. Cut 1 piece 23"x 23" for pillow front.
  2. Cut 2 pieces 16"x 23" for envelope style back.
  3. Make a narrow hem on one 23" side of each back piece.
  4. With RST, sew front to backs, overlapping back pieces.
  5. Clip corners and turn right side out.
  6. Press.
  7. For flanged edge, sew 2" in around all sides.
  8. Insert pillow.

14"x 28" LUMBAR PILLOW

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1yd Print Fabric for Pillow Center
  • 1/2yd Solid Fabric for Edges
  • 14"x 28" Pillow Insert
  • Matching Thread
  • Basic Sewing Supplies

DIRECTIONS:

NOTE: Use 1/2" seam allowance
  1. From print fabric cut one 15" H x 19" W for pillow front, and two 15" H x 14" W for pillow back.
  2. From solid fabric cut four 15" H x 6" W for sides front and back.
  3. Stitch solid sides to front and back pieces.
  4. Make a narrow hem on the print side of the back pieces.
  5. With RST, stitch the front to the back, overlapping the back pieces.
  6. Clip corners, and turn RS out.
  7. Press.
  8. Insert Pillow.

  • Basic Sewing Supplies

  2. Make a narrow hem on the long side of the back pieces.
  3. With RST, stitch the front to the back, overlapping the back pieces.
  4. Clip corners, and turn RS out.
  5. Press.
  6. Insert Pillow.
