SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Assorted floral picks
  • Floral tape
  • Leather cord
  • Wire cutters
  • Metal jewelry cuff
  • Hot glue gun
  • Small wooden disc
  • Pencil
  • Gold paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Metal pin back

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Use wire cutters to trim floral picks into smaller pieces.
  2. For the cuff corsage, add focal flowers first using a hot glue gun. Hold flower in place until glue dries.
  3. Add a couple of stems of smaller florals and greenery behind the focal flowers to hide any glue or imperfections.
  4. Add small florals that extend outward to add dimension to the corsage.
  5. For the boutonniere, paint one disc your preferred color with acrylic paint. Using a pen, hand letter your preferred pronouns on the painted disc. Glue the disc to a blank one below it, adding dimension and an outline.
  6. Begin bundling small stems of greens and filler flowers together. Add in 2-3 focal flowers, making sure to leave a spot to place the wooden disc.
  7. Use floral tape to secure the stems together. Bend stems to adjust if needed.
  8. Use hot glue to attach leather cord over the floral tape and wrap cord around stems to cover the tape.
  9. Use hot glue to attach the wooden disc within the bundle of floral stems.
  10. Attach pin back to the back side of the boutonniere using hot glue.

JOANN HACKS:

  • Avoid using too much hot glue so it does not show. A very small amount is plenty.
