JoAnn is my new quilting store!
I recently went to JoAnn to buy some special large curved safety pins used for quilting to “baste” all three layers (top, batting, backside) together before quilting. I checked in the notions aisle but couldn’t find what I needed. So I asked the cashier if the pins might be somewhere else in the store. She walked me over to a small display in the quilting section that I had missed, and the safety pins were there! I was so relieved because I didn’t want to put my project on hold. While I was there, I talked to another customer who was a quilter. She told me that JoAnn sells material in unusually wide sizes so that it’s not necessary to sew together several pieces for the backside of a quilt! This saves time and results in a more professional looking quilt.

These do not work!
I bought these based on the positive reviews. I should have listened the one star reviews. I can't get the pins through two pieces of fabric and one piece of low loft batting. I pushed one through with difficulty but was afraid I would ruin the fabric. Unfortunately I bought more before I had tried these. I needed more pins to make my granddaughters quilt. I will need to return the ones that I just ordered. Don't waste your money.
