Hanging Canvas Tent

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 3 1/2yds Home Decor 60" wide canvas
  • 4 extra large grommets with tool
  • 10yds "rope"
  • Optional: 5' wooden dowel or curtain rod
  • Sewing machine
  • Basic sewing supplies

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Trim canvas to 58"x 124".
  2. Finish all raw edges (serge, zig zag).
  3. On 58" edges, press up 2" hem and stitch close to finished edge.
  4. Repeat on long edges.
  5. WST, fold in half matching 54" ends.
  6. Mark a line 2 1/2" from fold and stitch to form channel.
  7. Install one grommet in each corner.
  8. If you choose, insert dowel or rod into channel.

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 2/3yd 54" Home Decor fabric (batik print)
  • Sewing machine
  • Basic sewing supplies

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut one 19 1/2"x 52" fabric.
  2. Press long sides to back 1/2" and again 1/2".
  3. Stitch both outer and inner folded edge.
  4. Press under 1/2" and again 1/2" on remaining sides.
  5. Stitch both inner and outer edges._x000B_Fold back both short edges 2" to back.
  6. Stitch back at fold and again 1/4" from stitching.

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

    2yds 54" Home Decor fabric 5 1/2yds cording 1 1/2yds warm & natural batting(optional) 2 bags 2 1/2 cubic feet beanbag filler Sewing machine Basic sewing supplies

DIRECTIONS:

NOTE:1/2" seam allowance
  1. Cut two 25" squares and optional batting for top and bottom.
  2. Cut four 25"x 13" fabric and optional batting for sides.
  3. Cut enough bias strips for 200" cording.
  4. Sew bias strips together.
  5. Fold bias strips over cording and sew to top and bottom.
  6. RST sew all four 13" edges.
  7. RST sew sides to top and bottom matching corners and leaving a 10" opening or turning and filling.

18" Envelope Back Pillow w/Cording

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 2/3yd 54" Home Decor fabric
  • 1/4" cording to measure 75"
  • Sewing machine
  • Basic sewing supplies

DIRECTIONS:

NOTE:1/2" seam allowance
  1. Front: cut one 19" square.
  2. Back: cut two 13"x 19" pieces.
  3. Cut 1 1/2" wide bias strips to measure 75".
  4. Fold bias strips over cording and stitch to pillow top.
  5. Finish one 19" edge of each back.
  6. RST, place pillow backs overlapping finished edges at center.
  7. Stitch all four sides.
  8. Turn right side out and press.
