Decorative Holiday Pies

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Place & Time Holiday Cookie Cutter Set
  • Place & Time Pie Crust Mold
  • Glass Pie Pan
  • Cherry Pie Filling of Your Choice
  • Pie Dough (If store bought, three pie crusts for a pie)
  • Parchment Paper
  • Rolling Pin
  • Paring Knife
  • Pastry Knife
  • One Egg for Egg Wash
  • Toothpick

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Place bottom crust in ungreased glass pie pan.
  2. Fill pie pan with cherry filling.
  3. Rollout top crust on parchment paper and cut a circle out of the middle.
  4. Attach top crust to bottom crust.
  5. With an extra crust use the Holiday Cookie Cutter Set to cut out little holiday pieces for the top crust.
  6. To create a more detailed look, use a toothpick and gently press into dough pieces to great petals on the flowers.
  7. Cut into small strips and roll into the size of the Pie Crust Mold.
  8. Press pie dough into dry mold.
  9. Cut off excess dough. Turn mold over and slowly push dough out.
  10. Attach leaves, flowers and the pieces from the pie crust mold with egg wash to the top crust.
  11. Bake following pie filling recipe.
