- LION BRAND® large-eyed blunt needle
- Circular knitting needle size 10 (6 mm), 36" (91.5 cm) long
- SIZE:
- About 30"x 30" (76 x 76 cm)
- GAUGE:
- 13 sts = about 4" (10 cm) in Garter st (knit every st on every row).
- BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.

STITCH EXPLANATION:Yo (yarn over)
An increase that also creates a small decorative hole (eyelet) in the fabric, worked as follows:
1. Bring yarn to front, between the needles.
2. Take yarn to back, over the right hand needle. This creates the new st. You are now ready to proceed with the next st as instructed.
NOTES:
Afghan is worked in one piece on a circular needle.
The circular needle is used to accommodate the number of stitches. Work back and forth in rows on the circular needle, just as if working on straight needles.
The Afghan is worked diagonally, from corner to corner, and shaped with increases and decreases.
AFGHAN:
Cast on 5 sts.
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: K2, yo, k2 - you will have 6 sts.
Row 3: K2, yo, k2 - 7 sts.
Row 4: K2, yo, k to end of row.
Repeat Row 4 until you have 120 sts on your needle.
Next (Decrease) Row: K1, k2tog, yo, k2tog, k to end of row.
Repeat last row until 6 sts remain.
Last Row: K2, k2tog, yo, k2tog.
Bind off remaining 5 sts.
FINISHING:
Weave in ends.
