SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 1yd - fleece for both the 18" pillow and 14" pillow
- 1yd - sherpa for the 18" and 14" pillow
- 2yds - fleece for blanket
- 2yds - sherpa for blanket
- 1 - 14" pillow form
- 1 - 18" pillow form
- Basic sewing supplies
DIRECTIONS:
18" pillow
- Cut 1 - 21" square from the sherpa and fleece for front of pillow
- Cut 1 - 12"x 19" from fleece for back
- Cut 1 - 14"x 19" from fleece for back
- With RST, pin fleece to sherpa square for front.
- Draw a line from one corner of fleece diagonally to opposite corner.
- Stitch 1/2" on one side of the line.
- Trim extra fabric.
- With RST, pin back to front overlapping back pieces to match front.
- Stitch 1/2" seam around outside.
- Turn and insert pillow form.
14" pillow
- Cut 1 - 14 1/2"x 14 1/2" square for front from fleece.
- Cut 2 - 15"x 12" from sherpa for back.
- Hem the two back pieces of sherpa along the long side.
- With RST pin back to front easing in the fullness of back to fit front. The larger back will allow some of the sherpa to show on front when finished.
- Turn and insert pillow form.
Blanket
- Cut the selvages off on both fleece and sherpa.
- With RST, pin the two pieces together using a 1/2" seam leaving an opening for turning.
- Turn and sew opening closed.
- Top stitch around the edge 1/2" from finished edge.
