Intermediate Varies

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1 Pair of rubber toe shoes
  • Diamond Dotz in colors of your choice
  • Diamond Dotz Applique kit
  • 1 Tube of E6000 glue
  • Metal nail file or a flat push stick
  • Old flat small paintbrush
  • Pencil

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Decide on the outside of the shoes where you want your stripes to be. Make sure they are evenly spaced.
  2. Apply a small amount of glue for the first stripe, using a flat paintbrush and smear a thin layer of the glue. Apply the Diamond Dotz with the applique kit.
  3. For the toes of the shoes, make a middle line with your pencil from top to bottom.
  4. Go to the right of the center line and draw your curve for the center stripe. It should be away from the center line for about 2 rows of Dotz.
  5. This is where you are going to apply your first row of Diamond Dotz.
  6. Apply the next row of Diamond Dotz working towards the middle pencil line.
  7. Once you reach the center line repeat the rest on the other side of the middle center line working the other direction.
  8. Apply the next strip adjacent to the first middle curved stripe. Do the same application for each of the rest of the stripes.
  9. Let the shoes dry before you wear them.

CRAFT HACK TIPS & TRICKS:

  • Once you have completed the stripes on the toes but haven't let them dry, you can remove any excess glue by using the nail file and pushing the glue off of the rubber toe.
  • It easily comes up.
  • Use the glue sparingly. You don't need much and you don't want it to come up around the Dotz and make it overly sticky.
  • Do not put Diamond Dotz on the inside of the shoes because you may rub them off
