I too, ran out of the pink border color, but was able to substitute some floss I had for an almost perfect match. I used rose gold instead of the silver provided. Not necessarily my preference but it matched the wedding colors. I plan to make two more for gifts.

I went back and triple checked the directions and there just isn't enough to do the double border around the inside. I had to improvise with some of the other extra colors.

I purchased this kit for a wedding gift but was very disappointed when I ran out of the main color before I was half way through. The previous Dimensions kit I had purchased I had also run out of floss so I was being very careful to use as frugally as possible, but still ran out. I felt confident purchasing this kit because of the good, but several years old reviews. Apparently Dimensions has changed something in their kitting/packaging, but in effort to cut their costs, they have sacrificed the quality of their product. This is a VERY disappointing product.

The only thing I didn't particularly like was the metallic threads....but then I dont' particularly like metalic floss in any case (the feel not the look). Over all it was a beautiful quick gift for both a wedding and an anniversary. Will make again!
