Rated 4 out of 5 by from Do you like Backstitching? Overall I thought this kit was easy to stitch. There is a lot of color changes in the birds, and a few blended colors. But.. there is a TON of backstitching. On the birds and on the trees. I like the higher thread count fabric. I only used the needle they included when I was stitching the snow.. you use all 6 strands to give dimension (and they don't tell you.. but stitch that part last). I HATE the new thread cards. They look nice and organized but there is no easy way to handle floss once you pull it off the card. I used a hole punch and punched through the card and foam. I cut off the top of the thread- sticky foam residue I did not want on my project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well worth it ! I'm self taught and figured that I could do anything. Once I opened the kit and saw multiple shades of many colors, I thought that I was in over my head. I stuck with it because the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. It was well worth the time because it is very beautiful once it's done. The picture of the kit doesn't do it justice. Using a varied number of strands gives it depth and realism.
