SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Wedding Veil
- Rit All-Purpose Liquid Dye, Petal Pink (or other desired colors)
- Rit ColorStay Dye Fixative
- Measuring Spoon
- Plastic Container
- Rubber Gloves
- Paper Towels
- Plastic Table Cover
DIRECTIONS:
- Cover table with plastic. Gather supplies.
- Fill a large plastic container with 3 gallons of very hot water (140F). If water is not hot enough, heat water in a cook pot or teapot.
- Wearing rubber gloves, add 1/2 bottle of well-shaken Petal Pink All-Purpose dye. Stir well.
- Note: We recommend buying a second veil that can be used for testing the dyebath color. Cut the veil into swatches and dip. If the color is too light, add more dye. If the color is too dark, add more water.
- Dip one end of the veil into the dyebath and let the veil sit in the dyebath for 5-10 minutes.
- Remove from the dyebath and rinse the veil under cool water until the water runs clear. Set aside to dry.
- Optional: Use Rit ColorStay Dye Fixative to preserve color. Follow package instructions.
