SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- White dress
- Tulip Tie Dye Kit
DIRECTIONS:
- Fold your dress in half – lengthwise.
- Starting at the fold you just made, accordion fold the entire dress lengthwise (see photo).
- Use elastics (that come in your tie dye kit) to lightly wrap around the ends and center of your dress, just to keep the folds in place.
- Spray your dress lightly with water to dampen it (this helps the dye soak in).
- Make sure that your dress is turned so that the folds are facing you – not facing up.
- Take your first tie dye color (blush pink used here) and squeeze the dye lightly onto the folds that you made.
- Flip your dress over and add your second color to the other set of folds (sage green used here).
- Microwave your dress in a microwave-safe container for two minutes.
- Wash and dry.
Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:
- Leave gaps when dyeing if you want a more abstract, striped look.
