SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Aleene’s Jewelry & Metal Glue
- Gold Chain Necklace
- Vintage Button
- 10mm Bezel Round Blank
- Jewelry Cutters
- Jewelry Pliers (2)
- Sandpaper
- Wet Cloth or Rag
DIRECTIONS:
- Snip off the loop on the back of the button using your jewelry pliers.
- Go over the back of the button with a piece of sandpaper. This will make it smooth so the bezel will lay flat and will also help it bond better to the button. Then, wipe away any residue with a wet cloth.
- Apply Aleene’s Jewelry and Metal Glue to the flat side of the bezel, using the tip to spread the adhesive.
- Place the bezel towards the top of your button and press the surfaces together for several seconds until it’s bonded.
- Use your jewelry pliers to remove the jump ring at the end of your necklace. (Or use your pliers to open the bail on the bezel).
- Slide the chain though the bail on the bezel. (Or place the chain inside of the bail and clamp it back together with your pliers).
- Place the jump ring back on the end of the necklace chain and close.
