This pack includes one 27-yard skein of cotton embroidery thread that is perfect for your crafting projects and does not fray, fluff or kink. The shiny cotton thread is highly mercerized, non-divisible and twisted for that 'pearlized' effect. Available in a variety of beautiful and attractive colors, this pearl cotton thread can be used to add dimension and volume in embroidery, cross-stitch, applique, punch needle, needle point and other creative stitchery projects.

- Care: 100% colorfast and can be washed on a frequent basis, without causing the color to fade. The thread can be washed at high temperatures 95° C/203° F. Particular attention should be paid to the fabric on which the thread was embroidered. Wash your embroidery with one teaspoon of mild soap such as Orvus. After washing, gently wring it out and rinse it as many times as necessary to get the soap out of it (until the water is clear). Use almost cold water to rinse the piece. Wrap the embroidery in a towel to remove excess water, then dry flat. Place the embroidery on a clean towel, preferably while still damp, and iron on the reverse side, at the temperature setting recommended for the fabric.

Beautiful colors
I am in the middle of a large project using DMC cotton and am in need of certain colors. I prefer to order on-line to avoid going into publc places during this pandemic. However, I need to order by color number and not name. Could you possibly add color numbers to make ordering easier? I see from other reviews that this has already been requested.

USE DMC NUMBERS in your Descriptions!
Joanns, people who use DMC fibers regularly use them because they are called out BY NUMBER in designs the world over. Having a vague color name only makes it nearly impossible to buy this product from the internet. Being a "sewing & craft" BBS, you should know that.

If you need DMC 5, don't buy this one.
The thread is very good but it is not the regular DMC5. It was DMC 5M which is a little thicker than the 5 and it has orange on the band. Unfortunately it was too thick for my project and it is also unfortunate that Jo Ann's uses the same SKU for both. Customers should be told about the difference before they buy it and are disappointed.
