DIRECTIONS:
NOTE:
Center motif measures: 8" [20.5 cm] diameter; completed dreamcatcher (not including ribbons) = 14" [35.5 cm] diameter.
Special Technique:
Adjustable ring: Wrap thread into a ring, ensuring that the tail falls behind the working thread. Grip ring and tail firmly between middle finger and thumb. Insert hook through center of ring, yarn over (with working thread) and draw up a loop. Work stitches of first round in the ring. After the first round of stitches is worked, pull gently, but firmly, on tail to tighten ring.
DOILY
Make an adjustable ring (see Special Technique).
Round 1 (Right Side): Ch 3 (does not count as a st, now and throughout), work 16 dc in loop, slip st in first dc to join—16 dc.
Round 2: Ch 1 (does not count as a st, now and throughout), [sc, ch 6, skip next dc] 8 times, slip st in first sc to join—8 sc, 8 ch-6 spaces.

Assemble
Attach Doily to Smaller Ring
Referring to photo for placement, [wrap long tail around smaller Ring then feed thread through ch-6 space] 24 times, pull tail to remove all slack, knot, weave in ends.
Attach Smaller Ring to Larger Ring
Leaving long tail, ch 216 with thread; fasten off, leaving long tail.
Referring to photo for placement, knot one tail end around smaller Ring, [weave chain around smaller Ring through ch-6 space then around larger Ring] 12 times, being careful to not weave too tightly. Leave about 3" (7.5 cm) slack to make wraps even all around.
Knot tails together, weave in ends.
Attach Ribbons to Larger Ring
Cut 24" (61 cm) strips for the following ribbons:
8 strips each of A and B.
4 strips each of C, D, E, and F.
Fold ribbons in half evenly. Referring to photo for placement, knot onto larger Ring in groups of 8 in the following sequence: A, B, C, D, E, F, B, A.
