SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 1 yd cotton duck fabric for apron
- 1/4 yd 100% cotton fabric for pocket and ties
- Basic sewing supplies
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut one 22"x 30" rectangle from the cotton duck fabric.
- Cut two 3"x 45" rectangles from cotton fabric for ties.
- Cut one 8"x 11" rectangle from cotton fabric for pocket.
- Turn under 1/4" on all sides of the 22"x 30" rectangle and press.
- Turn under another 1/4" on the 22" sides, press and topstitch to finish the sides of the apron.
- Turn under 1/2" on top and bottom edges of the apron and topstitch to finish.
- With right sides together fold ties in half and stitch 1/4" on the long edge, turn right side out and press.
- Topstitch 1/4" around the edge of ties, folding in ends to finish.
- Sew ties to the backside of the top edge of the apron with a zig zag stitch to secure.
- Turn under all edges of pocket 1/4" and press.
- Fold top edge of pocket to outside, stitch sides and turn to right side.
- Press and topstitch top edge.
- Pin pocket to left side of apron 5" from side and 6" from bottom edges.
- Topstitch pocket to apron.
