Dr. Seuss Cards

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Black white card
• Decorative cardstock: stripes, birthday theme, fun colors
• Dr. Seuss stickers
• Star & circle gem stickers
• Scissors
• Glue stick
• Pencil

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cover the front of your black card base with decorative card stock. Create an interesting layout by mixing paper patterns and creating color blocks.
2. Add text “Happy Birthday" by cutting out letters, using stickers or hand embellishing your card.
3. Create embellishments with cardstock like candles and starbursts by cutting out basic rectangle, tear drop and starburst shapes from cardstock and layering them on the card. Use a pencil to draw the shapes before cutting or free hand cut your design.
4. Layer your cardstock embellishments with stickers and gems to add interest. To add a more custom look to the stickers cut around the outside of the characters to remove the square box.

Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:

• When drawing your design on paper to cut out make sure to lightly draw it with pencil to avoid permanent marks.
• To avoid the edge from peeling up at the fold cut the fold edge 1/2" long and wrap it around to the back. Secure with glue.
