Cute starter bag!
It took a minute to figure the pattern out but was really easy to make. If this is a bag you would like, I recommend it. It was fun making several out of different prints! I have also sewn over 50 years, it’s a beginner level if you are an experienced seamstress.

Seriously, you need videos of all the projects. A beginner would have problems.

Cute purse
I’m an intermediate level sewer with quilting experience and I was able to follow the instructions and make this shopper purse. Not sure I would call it beginners level and it took me longer than 2 hours. I do like the way the purse turned out and I added pockets inside.

Hope this helps
RSU= right side up
WSU= Wrong side up
RSO= right side out
Hope these are helpful for some folks who are having trouble using the instructions.
It’s helpful to work it through one step at a time, maybe by pinning together and trying it out before you sew. Happy purse making!

Huh?
I would love to make this cute bag but am very confused by the instructions. This has been true of most projects shared by Joann. It would be helpful to have key to initials used- RST, RSU, RSO, WSU, etc., so we know what they mean.
I would love to see a video tutorial of the projects, or photos accompanying each step. This would clarify any confusion.

Cute bag but confusing
This is a cute bag. I have been sewing for over 50 years and am totally confused about the template and how to tape it together. One side is 15” and other is 14 3/4 but the drop at top is more than 1/4”. Need clarification.
