Okay for light usage
These threaders are okay for light use--straight casings where you don't need to tug or pull hard. But if you need to go around corners or pull hard, the threader will probably break. I've broken several of these in the last couple of months. Using one is better than using a big safety pin (because pins often open while in the casing and then you have to try to dig out the pin) but only a little better than a pin.

An excellent tool - Best Tool U Don’t Know U Need!
I bought one of these about ten years ago and it has come in so handy for those few times I have inadvertently pulled my drawstring waistband ties thru there holes. There is nothing more frustrating than not being able to string your drawstring tie thru the waistband, and doing it by hand is much harder than you think. With this tool, simply attach one end to the end of this tool and simple thread the other end thru the hole and around the waist and in seconds you’re done - very simple - it’s a Breeze! I just bought another one to have a back up for my wife who saw me use it and see how simple and handy it was to use - Love it!!

Great for the price
This is a must item for hula dancerʻs skirt making. We put 3-4 rows of elastic in 4-5 yards of fabric to fit around waist. Sure it breaks easily but itʻs so cheap. I've bought many so far and I will still buy more in the future.

Broke on second use
This is not worth getting unless you plan to use it on very thin threading. I used it for elastic and on the second use it broke.

Great concept, to brittle
Works great, until it breaks. I thought it was because my sewing room is in a cooler part of my house in the winter, but I see others have the same problem. Wish this was not an issue, loved it otherwise!

OK for me!
So many times I see chasms of difference in product opinions, this is one of them. I've used this same item for more than 2 years with "nary" a problem! However, I'm using it for fabric drawstrings (not elastic) inserted in sleeves of fabric totes. Some sleeves fit snugly, but thus far, the item has done its job very well for me. Better success to the next buyer.

Worked Great, Until it Broke
While the concept behind this product is great, the execution is lacking. The plastic used to make this product is too rigid and brittle - it snapped in half the first time I used it. I was still able to thread with what was left of the product for a few projects, but it continued snapping until it was too short to be of any use. I will note, however, that I was threading elastic through casing very tightly (reducing 4 yards of fabric to ~2 feet); if this product were used only for looser applications it would hold up longer, but would still eventually snap. The product did work great until it broke though, so if Dritz were to make a stronger, more flexible version, I'd happily buy it.

Poor Quality
The first time I used this it snapped in 2 along the thinner part of the tool.
