DIRECTIONS:

BUTTERFLY GLASSES

  1. Spray paint the frames with the lilac paint and let them dry.
  2. With your Cricut machine and in Cricut Design Space, find a butterfly image. Cut out 4" wide butterflies on your Cricut machine.
  3. Cut the butterfly in half. Then cut the top wing from the bottom wing. You can use sheer fabric behind the open cells in the wings to make it feel like real butterfly wings. Attach the sheer fabric to the wing pieces with the craft glue.
  4. Attach the wings to the outside corners of the glasses.
  5. To make the wings feel dimensional cut another set of wings smaller than the front ones out of the other cardstock to be glued behind the first.
  6. Using the craft glue, attach beads to the front of the glasses and also on the wings.

DRAGONFLY GLASSES

  1. Spray paint the frames with the teal paint and let them dry.
  2. With your Cricut machine and in Cricut Design Space, find a simple dragonfly image.
  3. Cut out 1 set of 8" wide dragonfly wings on your Cricut machine with the silver metallic glitter cardstock.
  4. Cut the dragonfly wings in half.
  5. You can use sheer fabric behind the open cells in the wings to make it feel like real dragonfly wings. Attach the sheer fabric to the wing pieces with the craft glue.
  6. Attach the wings to the outer sides of the glasses.
  7. Make two 1/4" slices from the pool noodle with your kitchen knife.
  8. Attach the circles behind the opening in the glasses. Attach gems and beads to the front of the glasses and the wings. To darker the wings so that they feel more outlined, use the blue marker to go over the opening on the cells of the dragonfly wings.
  9. Cut another piece cardstock to go at the top of the glasses behind the circle pool noodles. Glue it to the back of the pool noodles to make the glasses feel more like a mask.
