Gutermann Silk Thread - Outstanding Performance!
Used Gutermann silk thread on a 12 yr old 100% raw silk wedding dress. Hem stitching held up well and thread had the same sheen as the dress. Great price with a Joann coupon! Will buy again.

Great Product

Great way to mark hems
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This seems to be a bit on the light weight side in construction, I wish the base was heavier, as it can be knocked over pretty easily. However, that is my only complaint with this marker, it is otherwise well-made and easy to use.

At Last A Second Pair Of Hands!

This handy gadget makes it so much easier to mark your skirt or slacks! Easy to assemble and sturdy on the floor, it allows you to make chalk marks at regular intervals. Connect the marks, press and hem and the item is even all around. Like a second pair of hands or a dressmaker at your convenience. Folds up. A great gift for anyone who sews!

Works but not ideal
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hemming is literally my last favorite step in making a garment so I was hoping this would be my saving grace. I think overall it works in that it gives you something to work off of but I still find myself measuring from my waist and making the marks myself to confirm because the lines aren't entirely clear. However I do think I will be using it often from now on and I'm interested in seeing how well it works for different fabrics and colors.

Hopefully, it will work. Concept is good.
I went to use this for the first time the other day. Easy to assemble, however, the air hose connecting the bulb pump to the chalk unit had a packaging kink. Thus the air force to distribute the chalk was reduced by having to pass through a smaller volume space. I am trying to work out this kink and will try again.
