Quickly replace a broken size 5 nylon coil zipper slider without replacing the entire zipper with the Dritz Fix-a-zipper Nylon Coil Replacement Slider Kit - Gunmetal. Remove the broken slider and attach this zipper slider that sports a gunmetal finish onto the zipper teeth. Size 5 zippers are often found on jackets, coats, sleeping bags, tents, purses, duffle bags and luggage. You just need to open up the slider with the help of the tool, insert the teeth of zipper into the opened slider and then close it over the teeth.

Seems nice, but didn’t work for me.
Seems like a nice product but did not work for me. I put it on a jacket following directions but it zipped funny. I tried to reopen it as it did the first time and it broke. It is expensive to have it break. I used another style on a different jacket that worked great.

The works and is solid. All metal. Made in Netherlands. Need to go to the dritz.com website and search for this item, to find the install instructions. The unique part of the install is unlocking the zipper pull using the supplied tool. Insert the tool all the way into the zipper pull on a flat surface like a table, then press the tool down towards the table so the spring tab opens up the pull. Once opened, put the zipper on the closed side of the zipper and press it closed. Then one can insert the other half of the zipper and it will zip up and down ok. Kinda pricey but it works and is solid, for the item you want to keep.
