Used for drawstrings in bags
I use this for drawstrings in bags. It is just twisted. I would have given it a 5 had it been braided. It feels a bit like cotton even though it’s polyester. I don’t know how it washes.

Great for custom piping
I make my own piping with this cord. This package is a good value if you're not able to buy it by the yard. It's flexible enough for soft projects like adding piping to bags. I recommend it.

cording for piping
It is polyester which means it won't shrink.I am using it to make piping for a quilt border and that is very important. The quality is good and there is no eleasticity which makes it easy to work with.

Flexibly Reinforces Garment Shape
When designing an exercise top (because finding sports bras that fit and don't give me heat rash is tricky), I needed something to keep the fabric around the lacing holes from bunching up. I had experience using boning (poly and synthetic baleen), but needed something more flexible for this purpose. I ran across a youtube video on medieval bathing dresses where cording had been used instead, so I bought this to try. It has worked beautifully. The combination of cording and lacing with satin ribbon allows me to move while still using woven (and therefore more supportive/less stretchy) cotton fabrics. Will be making more of these, and will continue to use the cording for this purpose.
