Frustrating
I have used a lot of this stuff over the years, and it was amazing for holding fabric and zippers in place for sewing. I recently purchased another roll, and something has changed. It's next to impossible to peel the paper off of the tape now. I've walked away from the project I'm working on three times now because it's so frustrating to deal with. There is also a tiny strip of extra tape that extends beyond the edges that you have to peel off so that it doesn't come off and bunch up under your fabric. I spend half of my sewing time fumbling with this garbage. Please bring back the old stuff. It was perfect. Looking for a replacement now.

It is made with different materials now.
I have recently bought this product twice and returned it. This has a plastic cover over one side of the double edge. It is VERY difficult to separate it from the tacky Wonder Tape. If it does separate then it leaves part of the plastic behind.THE Original WONDER TAPE used a paperlike material.
Perhaps during its transportation, the hot weather has damaged it.
I'll use something else from now on.

Defective, do not buy
I loved using the older version of this for basting zippers but wish that I had read recent reviews before purchasing again. It seems Dritz has changed something about the product because this new version is not adhesive at all!

Defective, Both sides didn't have adhesive
I had an older one that I was using that worked great, but recently purchased another and its defective. Only one side was sticky, making it useless. So disappointing. Now I have to return to it to get my money back and find an alternative.

Defective Product
Tried to use the product, and I couldn't even get the paper film to peel from it? Spent half an hour thinking I was going insane, until I googled it and saw similar complaints. Product is defective. Would not recommend.

THIS PRODUCT IS DEFECTIVE
I've happily used this product for years, both professionally and personally -- I'm a Master Designer with more than fifty years' experience in designing and creating wedding gowns, eveningwear, dance/performance costumes, home dec projects, crafts, and fashion clothing. "Wonder Tape" has been a time-saving favorite for every type of project.
Unfortunately, the last thirteen rolls I purchased had to be returned...the tape no longer works properly (the paper won't release the adhesive onto the fabric). A quick check on the internet shows many other users have been having the same problem with their rolls of "Wonder Tape."
Please, Dritz, fix this problem!

Don't use for zippers unless you like to rip seams!
After watching You Tube videos on using basting tape to anchor a zipper for sewing, I thought I'd give it a try. It would have been great if the adhesive had worked, but it just didn't stick. Now I have to rip out the failed sewing and go back to hand basting. Wasted money and wasted trip to buy it.
