SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Rit Dye All-Purpose: Petal Pink, Rose Quartz, Lemon Yellow, Tan, Violet, Coral
  • Dried Flowers
  • 16-Ounce Glass Jars for Dyeing
  • Paper Towels
  • Plastic Gloves
  • Hair Dryer
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Plastic Table Cover

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cover table with plastic and gather your supplies.
  2. Fill glass jar with about 12 ounces of very hot water. Shake dye bottle before pouring. Wearing rubber gloves, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of your favorite Rit All-Purpose Liquid Dye.
  3. Test dye color by dipping a paper towel or square tree directly into the dyebath. If color is too light, add more dye; if color is too dark, add more water.
  4. Dip dried flowers into the prepared bath. Swirl around in the dyebath for a few minutes or until desired color is achieved.
  5. Remove dry florals from the dyebath and place on paper towels to dry.
  6. Use a hair dryer on its lowest setting to fluff up your dry florals and create your arrangement.
