SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Unfinished wood box with clear panels
- Rit® dye (maroon/dark red)
- Gloves
- Paper towels
- Linen fabric
- 1" foam
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun / glue
- Bowl or container (large enough to fit the box into)
DIRECTIONS:
- Mix dye in container with water to desired shade. Follow the directions on the container.
- Submerge the box in the dye bath until it is at your desired shade. Wipe off any excess dye from the box and the clear panels.
- Set aside to dry.
- Cut the foam so that it fits snug inside the box.
- Take half of the foam and wrap in fabric like a present. Secure the edges with glue at the bottom. Repeat with the second half of foam.
- Place the fabric covered foam inside the box so that the glued seams are at the bottom.
- Place rings inside the space in the middle of the two pieces of foam.

Do multiple dips in the dye bath to gradually get a darker color.
