- Cotton Fabric, 1/2 yard
- Embroidery Thread
- Embroidery Needle
- Basic Sewing Supplies
- Iron
- Optional: Rotary cutter, Mat & Ruler
DIRECTIONS:

- Cut two 17"X 17" squares from cotton fabric. (For an alternative size, add an inch to desired length and an inch to desired width.)
- Fold a side in 1/4" and press with iron. Fold side in 1/4" again, and press with iron again.
- Repeat for all four sides.
- Unfold and trim corner from square to square, made by the folds.
- Refold the first fold on both sides.
- Fold the trimmed corner point down to the second creased lines.
- Refold the second fold on both sides; pin into place.
- Repeat for all four corners.
- Secure folds with straight pins and sew around all four edges 1/4" from the folded edge.
- Use embroidery thread to add a decorative running stitch around the edge.
