DIRECTIONS:
Napkin Rings
- Wrap wire around the toilet paper roll to shape wire.
- When you’ve achieved your preferred design, bend the end of the wire around the wire closest to it. Wrap it tightly, using jewelry pliers to assure that it doesn’t catch on your napkins.
- Cut 6- 18” x 23” rectangles.
- Hem all edges by folding under ¼”, press, fold under another ¼” and stitch close to edge to finish.
- Measure ½” from bottom and side edge to line up pattern.
- Using photo as a guide, transfer pattern to corner of napkin using tracing paper or pencil.
- Using the outline embroidery stitch, create sunburst pattern on all of the straight lines.
- Create 3 french knots where dot is located at corner.
- Press.
- Thinner wire will bend easier, but not be as sturdy. For sturdier napkin rings, use thicker gauge.
- Using an embroidery hoop before stitching helps hold napkin in place.
