Embroidered Fleece Ornaments

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Assorted colors of fleece
• Coordinating thread
• Metallic embroidery floss
• Polyfil®
• Needle
• Scissors
• Chopstick

DIRECTIONS:

1. Print pattern provided and cut out shapes on solid line. Use the paper shapes to cut two pieces of fleece for each shape.
2. Whipstitch around the outer edges, leaving a small opening for stuffing. Stuff with Polyfil and whipstitch closed. Use a chopstick for stuffing when needed.
3. Use the pattern embroidery guide to embroider the shapes with metallic thread, using straight stitches and French knots. When changing out colors, be sure to slip the knot inside of the stuffed shape to keep the outside tidy.
4. Use a coordinating color of thread to attach a loop at the top of the sewn ornament. Now it is ready for hanging.

• Metallic embroidery floss is often easier to stitch with when divided in half.
