DIRECTIONS:

  1. To print the patterns, click on the "Download Project PDF" button (above).
  2. Using the pattern templates, trace the design onto the felt with a water soluble marker.
  3. Fill in the large sections with a satin stitch. To work the satin stitch, cut a length of thread, knot one end, and thread the other end on the embroidery needle. Bring the needle up through the fabric. Insert the needle on the opposite side of the shape to be filled. Bring the needle back up again next to the first stitch. Continue adding stitches like this until the area is filled.
  4. Lines are embroidered with a chain stitch. To work the chain stitch, cut a length of thread, knot one end, and thread the other end on the embroidery needle. Bring the needle up through the fabric. Insert the needle again into the same entry point, but do not pull though entirely. Bring the needle back up through the fabric a short distance away, and pull the needle through the remaining loop. Pull to tighten. Repeat along the line of the pattern.
  5. When the embroidery is finished, cut out the design leaving approximately 1/8" around the stitches.
  6. Glue the embroidered patches to the Funkin using hot glue gun.
