SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Embroidery hoop
- White fabric
- Black fabric marker
- Fabric paint
- Hot glue gun
- Cardboard
- Scissors
- Straightedge/ruler
- Stuffing
DIRECTIONS:
- Use scissors to cut circle out of white fabric. The circle should be about 2-3" larger than the embroidery hoop.
- Use a straightedge or ruler to divide the circle of fabric into eight sections, marking the lines using a black fabric marker.
- Paint each section a different color with slightly watered-down fabric paint. Make sure the paint does not dry too thick. Once the paint has dried, use a fabric marker to write the names of each of the different types of needles in each section.
- Trace the inner ring of the embroidery hoop onto a piece of cardboard twice. Cut out cardboard circles and make sure they fit snugly within the embroidery hoop.
- Insert one of the pieces of cardboard into the center embroidery hoop ring and pile desired amount of stuffing on top of cardboard. Place the dried piece of painted fabric over top of the stuffing, centering it and place the outer ring around. Adjust fabric until surface is smooth and tighten the outer ring.
- Use hot glue to glue the edges of the fabric to the cardboard circle on the back. Trim edges as needed. Use hot glue to attach the second cardboard circle over the back to hide the edges of the fabric.
