Fabric Basket

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Cotton rope
• Fabric
• Glass vase to use as a sizing guide for the basket
• Scissors
• Rotary cutter
• Ruler
• Cutting mat
• Hot glue gun & glue

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut fabric into 1.5" strips.
2. Wrap the fabric strips around the rope. Glue in place about every 1/2 inches to adhere the fabric to the rope.
3. Start with a base coil by folding the end over 1/2" and then coiling the fabric wrapped rope around, gluing in place. Once the coil is the size of the base of your vase, stop coiling around and start building the coiling up.
4. Build up along the vase until your basket is the desired height and remove the vase.
5. Trim the excess rope and wrap the end with fabric and glue in place.
