SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Templates Provided
  • Fabric (2 different coordinating patterns)
  • Fabric Stiffener
  • Fabric Glue
  • Pencil
  • Jump Ring
  • Earring Wires
  • Needle nose pliers
  • Scissors
  • Thumb tack

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Apply fabric stiffener to the fabric as directed on the packaging.
  2. Once the fabric is dry, glue two pieces of fabric wrong sides together.
  3. Once the glue is dry, use the templates to draw 2 of each of the shapes onto each piece of fabric. 2 round and 2 leaf shapes.
  4. Cut the shapes out.
  5. Use a thumbtack to create holes for the jump rings and earring wires. Make one hole at the top of the leaf shapes and one on each side of the circle piece.
  6. Connect the leaf shape to one of the holes in the circle piece with a jump ring. Use the pliers to open the jump ring.
  7. Connect the earring wire to the other hole in the circle piece and close with pliers.
  8. Repeat so both earrings are finished.

JOANN HACKS:

  • Be careful when using the push pin to make holes in the fabric. If you have a scrap piece of cardboard or a cutting mat, push the pin through the fabric into the cardboard/mat.
