Braided Padded Headband
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Headband
- 1/2" sheet foam
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Hot glue sticks
- Material of choice, 12"x 40" cut into 3 strips
DIRECTIONS:
- Hot glue the foam onto the top of the headband from end to end. Trim excess along the edge of the headband.
- With scissors, shape foam near ear piece up 2" to taper the bulk.
- Braid the three strips of material loosely, hiding the raw edges.
- Glue the braid to the top of the foam, pulling down the edges of the braid, and secure to hide the edge of the headband.
- Finish the ends by using hot glue on the bottom of the ear piece, folding and tacking on the underside to secure raw ends.
- Place the succulents where desired before securing with wire and glue. Finish with floral tape.
Padded Beaded Headband

- Headband
- 1/2" sheet foam
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Hot glue sticks
- Material of choice, 5"x 16"
- Needle
- Thread
- 2-3 sizes of tube beads, crystals, chunky beads or charms
DIRECTIONS:
- Hot glue the foam onto the top of the headband from end to end. Trim excess along the edge of the headband.
- With scissors, shape foam near ear piece up 2" to taper the bulk.
- Form pleats with fabric and glue. Trim and fold under the band.
- Create a lining for the inside of the band from excess material and attach with glue.
- Attach beads by sewing in clusters as desired.
JOANN HACK:

Really confused
The dimensions for the material for the padded beaded headband is misleading. How can you pleated fabric of 16inches cover the entire headband

A video would be wonderful but I just don’t see how you could fit the material under the headband without making it really bulky
