SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Fabric McCall’s 6930
  • 1/8 yd Additional linen
  • Sewing notions

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Seams are 1/4" unless noted. Follow pattern and instructions to complete shorts.
  2. Cut one 54"x 3 1/2" for belt.
  3. Cut one 12"x 1 1/2" for belt loops.
  4. Sew belt loop right sides together with a 1/4" seam allowance, turn right side out. Press. Topstitch on both edges. Cut into 4 equal loops. Topstitch to waistband at the front pleats and back darts, turning under seam allowance of 1/4".
  5. Belt: right sides together with a 1/4" seam allowance, sew the ends and length leaving an opening for turning. Turn right sides out, press, topstitch the edges also, closing the opening.

JOANN HACKS:

  • When cutting out stripes, pin some of the strips together making sure they will not appear wavy.
