- 1 GH Silver Dollar stem, beige
- 1 GH Fern leaves stem, beige
- 1 GH Cosmos bush, cream
- 1 GH Rose mum bush, cream pink
- 1 spool 7/8"x21' sheer ribbon
DIRECTIONS:
- Insert bouquet holder into an empty vase and weigh down the vase with marbles or rocks.
- Separate the floral into larger floral, smaller floral, and greenery piles.
- Begin with the larger floral. Trim the floral from the stems leaving a couple inches of the stem attached to the flower.
- Insert the larger floral into the bouquet holder near and around the center of holder.
- Insert the smaller floral, berries and greens to give the bouquet length and fill in around the larger floral.
- Separate the greens and ferns into small clusters and add those throughout the bouquet. Add longer stems if necessary to give length to the bouquet.
- When bouquet is complete and all floral is added, use the hot glue gun to secure the floral. Add hot glue to the stems on top and especially to the stems that are hanging down.
- Once the glue has dried, add any leftover greens to the top of the bouquet to hide the foam.
- The final step is to add the ribbon lengths to the bouquet. Decide how long you would like the lengths to be and pull the ribbon from the spool to that length. Use all the ribbon from the spool. Gather the ribbon at the top and wrap the 24-gauge wire around the ribbon. Attach a small piece of leftover stem to the wire and ribbon. Use the floral tape to secure the wire and stem to the ribbon. Trim the ends of the ribbon making a nice clean cut using sharp scissors. Insert the ribbon into the bouquet pushing the green stem into the foam. Add some hot glue to be sure the ribbon stays in place.
JOANN HACKS:
- You may need to use duct tape to further secure the vase to your work station when the bouquet gets heavier and fuller.
- If stems are too short to give the bouquet length, extend the stems using leftover stems. Tape the leftover stems to short stemmed floral and insert into bouquet.
